Tea time in Perry's Cove, NL

PourfortheCureNL12.jpgThere’s nothing like a good tea party, especially when the kettle is hot, the cookies are decadent, and funds are being raised to support CBCF – Atlantic Region! The United Church Women of Perry’s Cove, NL did just that recently with their annual Pour for the Cure.
There was a small admission fee, a variety sale table, and a candle lighting ceremony.  Candles were lit by donation, in honor of a survivor, in memory of someone who has passed, or in support of someone currently undergoing treatment for the disease.
Breast cancer survivor Dana Cox joined the group sharing her compelling story, and performing her beautiful original song, “No Time for You” – which chronicles her journey with breast cancer.
Through the course of their beautiful afternoon, the Perry’s Cove UCW raised a phenomenal $885 in support of CBCF – Atlantic Region!
