True heroes!

It seems there is no end to the heroics of those who vow to serve and protect as was very clear this past October in St. John’s and Mount Pearl, NL.

Members of the St. John’s Firefighters Association Local IAFF 1075, traded in their traditional colors and spent a weekend in pink to support breast cancer awareness and raise funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Atlantic Region.

Information tables were set up at three different locations and donations were accepted in a firefighters boot! Between the union contribution and donations collected, the firefighters presented CBCF with $2400 from this first-time event.

Firefighters taking on breast cancer, true heroes indeed!
