Sobeys makes a splash for Watermelon Queen’s visit

Sobeys stores in Charlottetown, PEI recently hosted the National Watermelon Queen, Miss. Katelyn Kelly. Showing their support for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Atlantic Region, Sobeys held fundraisers during Miss Kelly’s visit to their stores.

With their prettiest pinks proudly on display, these Sobeys stores presented cakes, hosted barbeques, held silent auctions, and featured everyone’s favourite summer treat: watermelon! CBCF – Atlantic Region Health Promotion Officer, Cheryl Hill, was also on hand to share information about breast health.

After three fun-filled days, the Sobeys store managers from Charlottetown, Stratford, and West Royalty presented Jennifer Perry (CBCF – Atlantic Region board member) with a cheque for $5,651.
