A pawsitively good time!

On Sunday, June 10th, members from the Halifax community leashed up their furry friends for the first annual Paws for the Cause, a community dog walk in support of CBCF – Atlantic Region. Presented by the Halifax Veterinary Hospitals in partnership with Jennifer MacQueen, Professional Pet Groomer, this event took place at the beautiful Sir Sanford Fleming Park (also known as “The Dingle”), and raised over $1,600 for a future without breast cancer.

After enjoying a beautiful walk around the park, participants enjoyed delicious treats and took in an array of activities, including a silent auction, a raffle draw for fabulous prizing, and a contest for dog owners and their pup! All participants received a tote bag containing lots of goodies.

Two paws up for the Halifax Veterinary Hospitals and Jennifer MacQueen, and to all the sponsors which include Big Monkey Kettle Corn, DogsOfPride.com, Linwood Custom Homes, OnGuard Traffic Control, Q104 and WysePhotos.com for organizing this exciting new fundraiser.
