Pink Days in Bloom

pink gardencenter.jpgGarden centres across Atlantic Canada are supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Atlantic Region this summer with Pink Days in Bloom. With special events ranging from barbeques to tea parties, Pink Days in Bloom brings the beauty of flowers to the forefront of raising funds.

This unique fundraiser was the brainchild of Linda Ryan, a breast cancer survivor from Newfoundland and Labrador. Linda enjoys gardening, and finds her time spent in the garden to be healing.  So while on medical leave from work undergoing treatment for breast cancer, Linda focused her energy on building a gardening fundraising. Working with Pat Puddester and the staff of Pat’s Plants and Gardens, along with a group of dedicated volunteers, the first ever Pink Days in Bloom was held last year in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Featuring fun, flora, and fundraising, Pink Days in Bloom is now popping up all over Atlantic Canada!  Click here to find out where you might find Pink Days in Bloom in your community.
