Thanks to our donors

We’d like to thank Reason for Hope Society ($10,000 donation), Women Alike Abreast a River ($14,000 donation) and Sobeys and C.H. Robinson (over $20,000) for their generous donations.

Reason for Hope Society generously donated $10,000 in September to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) – Atlantic Region to be directed to metastatic breast cancer research being conducted by Dr. Stephen Lewis. A variety of fundraising activities took place to raise these funds. The group has made a commitment to raise another $20,000 over the next two years to help further Dr. Lewis’ research on metastatic breast cancer.

Women Alike Abreast a River have shown their support of CBCF – Atlantic Region by fundraising through a variety of events and making a gift of $14,000 to be directed to breast cancer research in Atlantic Canada. CBCF – Atlantic Region has supported many members of the Women Alike team by funding the annual Nova Scotia breast cancer retreat held in Tatamagouche, NS.

CBCF – Atlantic Region received over $20,000 from a fabulous partnership between Sobeys and C.H. Robinson where a portion of the sale of every watermelon in Sobeys’ Atlantic Canadian stores came back to CBCF – Atlantic Region. That’s a lot of watermelons!
