Fellowship Program

Next deadline: October 2014

The Fellowship Program aims to foster independent breast cancer research in Atlantic Canada and is intended for qualified recent MD graduates or PhD graduates to begin their careers as social, clinical or basic science investigators in breast cancer research.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) – Atlantic Region awards one fellowship per competition. The duration of a fellowship grant is two years at $40,000 per year for a maximum of $80,000. Candidates may use other funding in addition to the CBCF fellowship award to carry out their project.

All applications must apply via WebGrants, CBCF – Atlantic Region’s web-based application and grant management program. If you are a first time user of WebGrants, you must register and be approved by CBCF before accessing the application. You should allow 2-3 business days for this process.

WebGrants can be accessed at https://webgrants.cbcf.org/login.do

To discuss your project idea, or for assistance with completing your application, please contact Mary Wilson, Grant Allocations Officer at 902-423-0730, toll-free 1-866-273-2223, or via email
