Breast Health 101

BH101_Logo_01.jpg

Breast Health 101 is a free, informative one-hour educational workshop delivered to a group of women, men or a mixed audience (minimum 12). It is a chance to learn about breast health, early detection and mammograms. In the workshop, we present information that dispels common myths around breast cancer and its causes. In addition, attendees will learn how to be proactive in reducing their risk.

Everyone has fears. Your breasts should not be one of them.

Learn the basics. It could save your life or the life of someone you know.

Presentations can be tailored to any group type. Consider the following opportunities:

Office lunch and learn – Book your boardroom and/or a  meeting space, supply lunch or have your employees bring a lunch for the presentation.

Pink Pedi Party – Grab your girlfriends and treat yourselves to a pedi party.  While everyone is getting gorgeous we will share our information with you. Pampering and education – perfect combo.

Book Club – Do you have a book club that meets regularly? Why not change it up a bit and have us come in.

Sports Team Social – Being active is a big piece of prevention, and we can teach you the rest, too.

At your gym – The gym is a great meeting place for people to gather for information. We’d be happy to come and give our presentation at your local gym.

Church groups – Are you part of a church group that meets regularly? We would be more than happy to join you for a meeting and go over what you need to know about breast health.

Testimonials

"The session was straight forward, informative, light-hearted and heartwarming. It was not embarrassing, offensive or lecturing, in fact it was the exact opposite; it was motivating. The audience was engaged, asked difficult questions, and generally felt comfortable enough to share their thoughts and personal experiences. The comments I received after the session ranged from “great session” to “amazing speaker”, but I can say with great pride that the best comment I received was “I just booked my mammogram”. I would absolutely recommend this session as a value-add to employees at any company."

— Kristi, Vancouver

"My doctor gave me the info slip to go get a mammogram at my appointment with her a few weeks ago and I've had it sitting on my desk since then and it is exactly as discussed - I haven't made the appointment out of fear. I'm making the appointment today and wanted to thank you for all the great work you and the CBCF are doing."

— Kirsten, Vancouver

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for today's seminar. You were a great speaker and I really got a lot from the experience. I feel much less afraid to have a mammogram now and am actually going to be proactive about doing it as soon as I turn 40 and going every year. Your personal story really touched my heart and I am so grateful for your time in sharing your knowledge and your personal journey!"

— Shannon, Vancouver

"I just wanted to thank you again for such a great presentation last night. I am emailing my female clients about it. And I just booked my first mammogram. So thank you!!!"
