2012 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - BC/Yukon Region 
Annual Breast Cancer Research Grant Competition

The CBCF – BC/Yukon Region Annual Research Grant Program provides seed funding to initiate new projects in breast cancer in BC. Researchers in British Columbia and the Yukon are invited to apply for up 
to $300,000 in funding, per project, to study breast health and breast cancer. Grants may be awarded for individual projects of up to 3 years in duration.

Investigators from all research disciplines are encouraged to apply.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, January 9, 2012.

3-Step Guide to Applying for a Research Grant  

Follow the three steps outlined below:

  1. Confirm the program criteria and your eligibility to apply by reviewing Research Grant Program Guidelines and Criteria

  2. Follow the registration instructions within the Research Application User Manual to register to use the WebGrants system. Note: If you registered in the system last year, you will already have a user name and you do not need to complete this process again. Ensure that you familiarize yourself with the user guide before completing your application online. 

  3. Access WebGrants to complete your application.

National Funding 

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation recently announced a new research funding opportunity called the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation National Grant Competition on the Earlier Detection of Breast Cancer. A $5 million initiative, this new competition underscores the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s commitment to earlier detection as a nation-wide priority to reduce the impact of breast cancer.
