There is research evidence to establish the above risk factors as being linked to breast cancer risk. Non-modifiable risk factors are those which cannot be changed or controlled. Modifiable risk factors are those which can potentially be changed or controlled.
Some of the modifiable risk factors for breast cancer are related to healthy lifestyle, such as body weight, physical activity, alcohol use and tobacco smoke.
