VOLUNTEERING

Volunteers are the backbone of the Canadian Cancer Society and we are proud of the dedicated support of thousands of volunteers across Canada. Together we are helping to create a world where no Canadian fears cancer.

Our volunteering positions vary from the strategic leadership of our national and regional boards of directors, to health promotion experts leading breast health workshops, to hands-on event coordination and support. Without exception, we are grateful to the thousands of volunteers who are dedicated to helping us create a successful CIBC Run for the Cure, many of whom have been with us for years.

“Volunteering is a passion for me. My sister passed away of breast cancer in 2003 and it is my way of remembering her."
– Diane Sabourin (CIBC Run for the Cure Run Director, Kingston)
