PLANNED GIFT
A planned gift is a special gift for the future. It is arranged now, usually within an individual's estate or financial plan, but actualized at a later date. The following are our planned gift options:
BEQUEST
A bequest is the most common way to leave a gift for the future. A gift is stipulated in an individual's will, usually in the form of personal or real property.

GIFTS OF RESIDUAL INTEREST
A gift of residual interest is usually encountered when a donor wishes to make an irrevocable gift of property – such as a residence or a gift of art – while retaining life interest (the use and enjoyment of the property, for the remainder of the donor's life).
LIFE INSURANCE
This gift can refer to three different types of life insurance policies:
a new, irrevocable policy,
an irrevocable paid-up policy, or
an existing policy on which premiums are still owed.
In all cases, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation must be named as owner and beneficiary. Premiums are paid either to the insurance company or to the Foundation and are tax deductible.
GIFT PLUS ANNUITY
The gift plus annuity is a legal contract that enables the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to purchase a lifetime annuity on behalf of a donor. The balance of the contribution becomes the donor's gift to the Foundation.
THE CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST
A charitable remainder trust is funded with income-producing assets (cash, securities, or real estate). The income is paid, for life, to the individual beneficiary or donor and the principal is donated posthumously to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
GIFT OF STOCK AND SECURITIES
Charitable stock and securities are a type of donation that enables individuals to give to the Foundation and the donor will pay no tax on the capital gain.
TRANSFER OF SHARES / STOCKS / MUTUAL FUNDS
This form of giving refers to donating to the Foundation publicly traded shares, bonds, mutual funds, bills, warrants and futures listed on Canadian stock exchanges or a number of foreign stock exchanges.
GIFTS IN KIND
A gift in kind involves the donation of property, goods or services in lieu of a cash gift.
