The Pink Tour
In 2015 the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) in partnership with Shoppers Drug Mart and CIBC, launched
The Pink Tour. For five months, this public education campaign was going around teaching Canadians about how small lifestyle changes can reduce
your breast cancer risk - while also promoting the importance of breast
screening. The Pink Tour encouraged women to take action by trying
one new thing and completing their own breast health plan through an
interactive online tool.
The Pink Tour branded mini-van, pop-up display
and three bilingual Tour reps made
over 120 stops in 80 communities
across the Atlantic region.
For the past years, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation has hit the road in a big pink bus. Touring the Atlantic provinces, Ontario and British Columbia, bringing information on breast health and breast cancer screening to women in hundreds of communities, and encouraged women to sign up for their provincial breast screening programs.
