For the past three years, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation has hit the road in a big pink bus. We toured the Atlantic provinces and British Columbia, bringing information on breast health and breast cancer screening to women in hundreds of communities, and encouraged women to sign up for their provincial breast screening programs.
The results were excellent, with over 34,000 visitors to the bus between 2009 and 2011, and screening rates increased in both places.
From May to October, 2012, The Pink Tour will be visiting over 90 communities across Ontario.
