How to get Involved

1. Register to host an official Yard Sale for the Cure on Saturday, May 26th, 2012
  • Register to host a sale and have your sale appear on a national Map it, Shop it tool for everyone to see.
  • Purchase a $25 Yard Sale Kit (optional) which includes 2 t-shirts, a poster that you can personalize with your sale time and address and a colourful lawn sign (while quantities last). You do not need to purchase a kit to host a Yard Sale for the Cure.
  • The last day for guaranteed delivery of kits in Ontario is May 20th. The last day for guaranteed delivery of kits to all other provinces is May 16th. Please contact Kelly Ziger to request an order after these dates.
  • Read our "Top 10 Tips and Tricks Guide: How to Host a Successful Yard Sale". Click here to download a handy guide to yardsaling.
  • Create a Facebook event, Tweet your sales details (eg. Vintage doll collection available at Carrie's sale - make an offer!), join a Meetup group near you.
  • Once your sale is complete, donate all or a portion of your proceeds to Yard Sale for the Cure online: All proceeds support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
  • Online donations instantly recieve an automatic charitable receipt through email.
  • Solicit donations at your Yard Sale. Download a Multiple Pledge Form and Individual Pledge Form to have on hand.
2. Donate money directly to a sale
  • Find a sale online and make a financial donation to the Yard Sale team of your choice.
  • Drop a dollar or two into a jar or tin at a sale.
3. Shop at a Yard Sale for the Cure on May 26, 2012
  • Find a sale near you by visiting Map it, Shop it.
  • Check out our Message Board, Facebook page and Twitter feed for constant updates.

  • Give your time to help us promote Yard Sale for the Cure
