Canadian Cancer Research Alliance
The CCRA is an alliance of cancer research funding organizations and affiliated partners working together to enhance the overall state of cancer research funding in Canada through improved communication, cooperation and coordination. Established in 2002, its mandate is to coordinate cancer research at a pan-Canadian level, including the targeting of gaps and the elimination of unnecessary overlap; to plan, initiate and oversee appropriate peer-reviewed research initiatives in response to the research needs of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control; and to identify, develop and initiate large transformative cancer research initiatives. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is a founding membe of the CCRA and is represented on its board of directors.
