VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Volunteers are involved with the Foundation in a variety of roles; they assist with fundraising events, provide administrative support in the Foundation’s offices and act as public relations representatives for the Foundation. Volunteer positions are available at the central and regional offices. National and Regional boards of the Foundation are also led by volunteers.

Special Events Volunteers (Fundraising Events).

The Foundation has a number of important annual fundraising events including the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure and various breast cancer awareness activities. These events typically take place during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and require an array of volunteers with various commitment levels.  Organizing committee volunteers work year round to coordinate these events. They help find sponsors, market the event, and ensure all the logistics on the event day are finalized.  To host such dynamic events, many volunteers are required on event day to help with event set-up, tear down, food, registration, and more.

Public Relations Representatives

Trained volunteers participate in presentations on breast cancer and promote Foundation programs to corporations and various groups.  Volunteers, who can speak to a personal connection to the cause and share their experiences, are an important component of these presentations. Presentations take place year round, on weekdays, evenings and weekends in communities across the country.

Administrative Support
The offices of the Foundation have many projects on the go that require volunteer office assistance with data entry, research, mailing and more.

Central Office Opportunities
Pink Ribbon Campaign (Ongoing)
Our National Office needs assistance with our Pink Ribbon Campaign to maintain a significant inventory of our signature pink ribbons.  These ribbons help support the awareness and fundraising activities of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  With them, the Foundation is able to promote the importance of breast cancer and breast health issues. We are seeking volunteers willing to pursue this either as a short-term or as an ongoing project. POSITIONS AVAILABLE - APPLY NOW
