FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
FALL 2010 CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The fall 2010 call for proposals for Ontario Region's Fellowship Program will be issued in mid-September with an application deadline of Monday October 25, 2010. This program provides salary support for research and/or clinical/professional training for graduate and post-graduate level scientists, Physicians and health professionals in all disciplines to develop expertise and innovation in breast cancer research and clinical care. Fellowships may be up to three years in duration (depending on category/level) and are offered in two categories:
Category One: Research and Advanced Healthcare fellowships Masters, Doctoral and Post-Doctoral students, including but not limited to nurses, chaplains, social workers, nutritionists, psychologists, rehabilitation professionals and scientists
Category Two: Physician fellowships For Medical Doctors who are registered in or have completed a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certified program or a College of Family Physicians certified program.
Fellowship proposals may involve: • Clinical/professional training only • Research only • Both research and clinical/professional training

In Ontario, the Foundation funded 18 fellowships submitted to last year’s call for proposals, totaling $1.4 million. It is anticipated that available funding for the fall 2010 call for proposals will be approximately $2.0 million.
