VOLUNTEER WITH US

Volunteers are at the heart of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's work in Ontario. They serve on the Board of Directors, contribute their expertise as grant reviewers and committee members, support community fundraising initiatives, make pink ribbons and assist at the Foundation's signature event, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.

THE CANADIAN BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION CIBC RUN FOR THE CURE
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education and awareness programs.

Each year, thousands of Canadians of all ages and walks of life unite to participate in the Run. The reasons for participating or volunteering vary, but we all have the same goal in mind: to create a future without breast cancer.

In April, 2010, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Ontario Region recognized the outstanding contributions of its volunteers at the 3rd Annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony.

Volunteers contribute over 200,000 hours each year to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Ontario Region. That's the equivalent of 112 full-time staff with a payroll of more than $3.4 million.
