• Support Breast Cancer Screening

Can you help?  Ontario women 40 - 49 at average risk cannot participate in high quality breast cancer screening through the Ontario Breast Screening Program. These services are available in four other provinces. It's time to send the government a message.

  • Reduce your breast cancer risk

Advances in earlier detection, diagnosis and treatment are saving the lives of women with breast cancer, helping many to live longer and with a better quality of life. But the chance of a woman getting breast cancer in her lifetime is not changing.

LEADERS CHANGE THINGS

WE CAN'T CURE BREAST CANCER WITHOUT YOU

Twenty-five years ago, breast cancer was a devastating disease that people only whispered about. There was little or no research to shed light on the disease. Since 1986, the mortality rate has decreased by 35%. However, breast cancer is still the most common cancer in women, with 1 in 9 Canadian women being diagnosed in their lifetime. Though much as been achieved, there is much more to be done and the Foundation’s mission of creating a future without breast cancer is still vitally important to save and improve lives.

WHY WE ARE THE RIGHT ORGANIZATION

When you become a Leader for the Foundation, you join a team of trailblazers. We were the first organization in Canada to direct funds exclusively to breast cancer research, and we continue to lead the way as a catalyst for change.

This downloadable brochure will help you learn the benefits of becoming a Leader for the Cure.
