101 years ago, Sir Henry Pellatt started the construction of fabulous Casa Loma. Designed by the Canadian architect E.J. Lennox, Casa Loma remains to this day the only real full-size Castle in North America. It is well known internationally as a prominent landmark in the city of Toronto. Sir Pellatt’s romantic dream of a 'medieval' castle overlooking Toronto still lives on in its magnificent beauty, exquisite gardens, and serenity.
For over 90 years, The Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma is nationally recognized for saving Sir Pellatt’s magnificent Castle from demolition in 1936, and had managed this castle through a partnership with the City of Toronto, as well as operating its renowned charitable work such as the Kiwanis music festival.
