Description:

ROBERT F. HALL CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL PERFORMS OFF-BROADWAY!

Robert  F. Hall Catholic Secondary School in Caledon East, Ontario is proud to present its latest theatrical smash hit, IN THE PINK!  This new musical, written by Frank Adriano and Rob Ciccotelli, explores the issue of breast cancer in a touching and often humourous way.

To commemorate the Robert F. Hall’s 20th anniversary, Hall Drama is reaching for the stars this spring.  Or more like the glittering lights of Broadway in New York City.   After continuing to set the bar higher and higher, performing shows in London, England in 2011 and Macerata, Italy in 2012, Hall Drama will be performing their original musical, IN THE PINK, at the New World Stages in Manhattan, just blocks away from Times Square during this year’s March Break.   The plot of IN THE PINK revolves around a group of girl friends who decide to organize a concert fundraiser for breast cancer awareness.   Hall Drama will be bringing over 50 students to NYC, 10 of which will be involved in the production.   Local performances of IN THE PINK will be held the week before their Off-Broadway performances in March.   Proceeds from the show will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  Don’t miss this incredibly fun and moving show!

Our History:
Hall Drama is an internationally recognized dramatic arts department that has performed all over North America and Europe and has garnered a massive volume of awards and commendations.  Hall Drama has performed in London, England, Macerata, Italy, Lincoln, Nebraska, and will be performing in Barcelona, Spain next year.  It has sold-out venues as large as 2300 seats and has performed in some of the most prestigious professional theatres in Ontario, including the Winter Garden Theatre and Tarragon Theatre in Toronto, Rose Theatre, Brampton, Living Arts Centre, Mississauga, and Orangeville Opera House.    Its productions range from cyber-punk versions of MACBETH, to Stephen Berkoff’s GREEK, to the original farce THE DAME, THE DUCHESS AND THE DUMB DORA. Our alumni include George Stroumbolopolous, Melissa Grelo, James Hartnett and David Reale.   Over the years, Hall Drama has produced ethnic comedies, farces, Stomp-style percussive performances, operettas, original musicals, dramas, and modern Canadian classics.  This will be a great opportunity for audiences to watch a play performance from one of Canada’s most recognized theatre schools.
