The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) Offers Free Support and Information for Anyone Affected by Breast Cancer

As a result of CBCF’s recent merge with Willow Breast & Hereditary Cancer Support, the Foundation now offers emotional support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer or at increased genetic risk for developing the disease.

CBCF’s Support & Information Programs focus on helping people cope with the “dark days” of breast cancer by supporting women and men living with a breast cancer or high-risk diagnosis. We also provide support and information to their families, friends, and caregivers – at any stage of their experience.

We can address a range of needs related to breast health concerns, risk management, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, as well as the specific needs of those living with metastatic breast cancer.

Support and information can be accessed in various ways:

  • By calling our toll-free helpline (1-888-778-3100); through email; on our website; in-person; and through community-based peer support groups across Canada.

Those who call our toll-free helpline will speak with a member of our Support Team – a woman who has personally had a breast cancer or high-risk diagnosis and is specially trained to provide support and information.

All of our support and information programs are confidential and free of cost.

Other CBCF Support & Information Programs include:

·            BRA Day
·            Breast Health 101
·            Peer Support Groups
·            Volunteer Training Workshops;
·            And Retreats
