The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Prairies Northwest Territories Region is thrilled to announce $10 million in funding through the Region’s 2011 Breast Cancer Research Program, Breast Health Education & Awareness Community Grant Program and Opportunity Grant Program to support innovative and catalytic projects throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Northwest Territories.
A combined total of 36 projects will benefit from the 2011 funding allocation. Over $8.3 million has been awarded to 24 research projects demonstrating a high degree of innovation or novelty and a record-setting 17 community and opportunity grants have received $1.7 million in funding to support projects that fulfill the mission and objectives of the Foundation in the areas of health promotion and education across the full spectrum of breast cancer.
