Youth Advisory Council (YAC)

The Future is in your Hands

Think you’re too young for something you believe in? You’re not.  The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Prairies/NWT Region recognizes that young people are the movers and shakers of the future and because of this, have put together a Youth Advisory Council, focused on helping youth make a difference in their community.

If you are between the ages of 14 and 24 (or know someone who is) and would like to become an essential link in creating a future without breast cancer, you may be the perfect candidate to join our Youth Advisory Council.

In 2004, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Prairies/NWT Region developed a Youth Advisory Council in hopes to educate youth about risk reduction, early detection, and breast health information.

Open to youth between the ages of 14-24 years old, the Youth Advisory Council plays a vital role in our Foundation’s decision making.

Give us your ideas on how we can get more youth involved and generate awareness.

To learn more about YAC or to become a member email ask@cbcf.org or call 1-866-302-2223 or visit Become a Volunteer.
