In support of his mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer, Canadian musician Kalan Porter has made a commitment to help support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.  In 2007, Kalan created a National team for the Run – Team Kalan Porter – as a way to help raise funds and awareness for the cause.  His Team went on to raise close to $50,000.

In 2008, Team Kalan Porter will once again be participating in the Run and Kalan would like to encourage all of his fans to join him and help surpass last year’s total.  Team Kalan has set a fundraising goal of $75,000 for the 2008 Run.
